The Gods were quiet. I was left on my own until Wisdom's son, Knowledge, came.
Knowledge knows I am not satisfied by Devil's utterance.
He took me to a tower that sits on the clouds.
We entered without any one saying a word to the other.
My eyes gleefully locked on onto two scrolls of writings.
A blinding light and suddenly there were Two Books! Both of equal size and volume.
The Book of Life and The Book of Death.
I read a page that says: "Those dead are the ones who come to be born and to live."
I had my doubts. I, even I, queried the presence and had them tell me:
No faces of the home-called; not one found in it tagged 'gone too soon'.
Rather This Book of Life presented me the genesis of Life.
Herein lie all things created and manufactured that was, is and soon to come.
No where in the pages did I find that God lived.
But everywhere I read taught me God had been here all this while...
But everywhere I read taught me God had been here all this while...
A hush, a soft breeze and a feathery tingling in my extremities as I read the Records.
Knowledge can be daunting on him who pursues it. I feel it even now.
So God has never lived. That's why He cannot die.
Like flakes of snow, God's attributes began dropping from the high ground.
And there He sat seemingly unperturbed as I served Him a long stare.
How can God be all-knowing if He's never lived, thirsted, lacked, suffered pain…?
Where do I befriend a god I can worship who is more like me?
This time the tingling got more violent. I started trembling vigorously.
I sought to see if my Mind is lost. "I am here, my Lord", he comforted me.
Where lies the substance of the Book of Life? Can it be trusted?
Knowledge nodded in affirmative. And opened a page called Scripture.
Here I found the Great Battle and what came out of it.
My heart was quiet. My trembling left me.
By now, I needed more answers than the questions I carry.
Faith called out from nowhere, Clarity began to dawn on me.
So even God can be pardoned after all. And warring isn't Man's problem.
All wars have repercussions. All wars are devastatingly destructive.
The Battle of the Gods succeeded in exterminating Unison everywhere.
Duality ensued. Chaos gave birth to opinion. Everyone became self-righteous.
God claimed Goodness and Holiness, Devil created for Himself every tool of Evil and Sin.
The Duality agreed to a joint rulership of Good and Evil bound by Time.
